CLOSEYE is approaching the end of the first phase of the project. These first months have been devoted to the identification of the Users needs and the available solutions that could be tested and validated. This work has contemplated an operational analysis, starting from the operational obstacles identified by the Users for the detection, identification and tracking of small boats, but also an external analysis where current market of potential solutions has been surveyed.

The outcomes of this work have led to the definition of set of User Requirements for the provision of Research and Development Services for Maritime Border Surveillance under the frame of EUROSUR and following the concept of Common Application of Surveillance Tools.

The call for tenders for the provision of such services has already been published, according to the requirements set by the European Commission in the FP7 Work Programme 2012 for Security, and it can be found at the following links:
